Hands of Tym is a renowned British leathercraft studio and school founded by Leathersmith and Bag Designer Georgie Tym. Over the past decade, our studio in Oxfordshire has become one of the UK’s most respected destinations for learning traditional and contemporary leatherworking skills — with hundreds of five-star reviews from students around the world.

After years of requests to bring our teaching online, we are proud to introduce the Hands of Tym Academy — a digital learning space designed to share the Magic of Making with a global community of learners.

At the heart of the Academy is Georgie Tym — Founder of Hands of Tym, experienced Maker, Designer, and Lecturer at the London College of Fashion. With experience working for brands such as Nike, Jaguar, M&S, and Cherchbi, Georgie combines technical precision with creative flair to teach the complete process of design and craftsmanship — from concept and sketching to prototyping and production.
